Open-Integration Platform UX & Dashboard Design
The Client
Kyndryl launched in 2021 as the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, following a spin-off from IBM. With a mission to design, build, manage, and modernize complex IT systems across 60+ countries, Kyndryl needed tools that mirrored their global reach and technical depth
What They Needed to Solve
Large enterprises often wrestle with fragmented IT ecosystems, making it hard for leaders to get a real-time view of operations. This leads to reactive decision-making, unexpected outages, and operational inefficiencies
The Mission
We were tasked to design a unified, open integration platform aimed at delivering:
Real-time visibility across disparate systems
Customizable, mission-critical control for business leaders
A clean, intuitive interface to untangle complex data flows
Role: Design Lead — responsible for UX concepts, wireframes, UI design, and data visualization.
Design Journey
1. UX Concepts & Wireframes
We collected user pain points and workflows to sketch wireframes that prioritized clarity and actionable insights.
2. UI & Dashboard Creation
The dashboard’s layout was crafted for simplicity—information-rich yet not overwhelming. Key metrics and status updates are surfaced immediately, with intuitive controls for deeper exploration.
3. Data Visualization Focus
Visual components—including practice filters, results views, and service-add workflows—are designed for fast comprehension and clear decision flow.
The Shine of the Solution
The final UX deliverable empowered users with:
A modern, unified interface offering full insight into distributed IT environments
Visual clarity for fast, confident decision-making
A flexible foundation for ongoing scalability and customization
Why This Matters
By simplifying complexity and foregrounding real-time insights, this design work aligns perfectly with Kyndryl’s identity—as agile, trusted stewards of enterprise tech. Executives gain clarity. Teams gain control. And Kyndryl’s brand gains credibility in an ever-demanding infrastructure services market.
