Elevating Epidiolex Through Immersive Design
Imagine stepping into a trade show and being instantly drawn in—not by a stand, but by a narrative that unfolds before you. That’s the experience we crafted for EpiCenter, an interactive presentation tool designed to introduce Epidiolex, a groundbreaking, FDA-approved CBD medication, in a way that felt immersive, informative, and unforgettable.

The Spark — A Client’s Purpose
Greenwich Biosciences needed more than a booth—it needed presence. The challenge: create an engaging digital tool for physicians and patients, transform a fleeting trade show moment into a lasting experience, and introduce Epidiolex—the first FDA-approved CBD medication for rare epilepsies—as both a scientific breakthrough and a story of hope.
How could we design an engaging, digital tool that speaks to both physicians and patients?
The Challenge
Trading Time for Trust
Trade shows are overwhelming, especially for pharmaceutical professionals with limited time and deep expertise. Our mission:
Rise above crowded booths and offer genuine value.
Present information in a way that’s engaging, credible, and easy to digest, while generating leads and boosting awareness.
Sprinting to Design
In just two fast-paced four-week sprints, our team bridged vision and reality:
Sprint 1 – Laying the Foundation
Conducted user and stakeholder interviews to uncover motivations and needs.
Brainstormed interaction concepts and organized essential content into a cohesive manuscript.
Sprint 2 – Building & Refining
Developed design plans and wireframe templates, then populated them with content and visual structure.
Delivered to development and tested—usability feedback shaped every iteration.

Research and Discovery
We structured the sitemap to guide visits with purpose. Hierarchical navigation brought clarity, while gated sections offered exclusive access to physicians—balancing openness and professionalism.
Planning and Mapping
The design map visualized user flows, interactive elements, and storytelling layers: from the patient’s home, to the lab, to the clinic—it created a compelling, narrative-driven journey.
From Concept to Canvas
Our creative rhythm involved crafting hundreds of icons and scientific charts, iterating until we landed on visuals that felt cohesive and immersive. The narrative unfolded across interactive zones—Patient’s House, The Lab, The Clinic—and made data feel personal and human.

Results That Speak Volumes
The tool didn’t just meet expectations—it shattered them:
It dispensed with all printed booth materials and became the core of the brand’s physical experience.
The client extended our vision, commissioning device-specific versions like an iPad interface.
In a powerful display of brand pride, they installed EpiCenter on a giant screen at their headquarters entrance—making it a visual centerpiece and narrative gateway.
Lessons That Resonate
Embrace transparency: Share drafts, invite critique, and build trust through collaboration.
Design through empathy: Understand both physician and patient perspectives to build meaningful experiences.
Measure impact beyond clicks: Combine analytics with qualitative feedback to shape lasting outcomes.
